Found in the heart of Eastern vermont simply away from city of Goldsboro, this historically significant gem (understood in your area as "The Farm") blends the atmosphere of a comfy European country property with interior architecture from an earlier 19th century plantation house.

The Vernon Guest Wing is approximately 2, 000 sqft, totally exclusive, secure and self-contained, with split entry and amenities. There are two big bed rooms (one with a king and something with twin beds) appointed with antiques and stylish, yet comfortable fixtures. Each bed room features an exclusive dressing location and restroom (one with a sizable yard bathtub and another with walk-in bath.) Both have decks that overlook the home gardens. (Note, one bed room is occupied until March 1, but typical location spaces are around for activities.)

There is also a fully prepared galley cooking area (with little dining table for 4 folks) and a large family area ( front parlor, see pictures and description below) restored from Vernon Hall Plantation. Upstairs there is the lounge/library built with Wi-Fi, level display screen television, and DVD. There’s additionally a small office nook within the collection with a large cup work desk and display for privacy.

The key area in Vernon Guest Wing may be the "front parlor" which features 12 base ceilings and a big, sophisticated, hand-carved mantel. All the interior structure, such as the heart of pine flooring, was taken off Vernon Hall (ca. 1819) a plantation home that when stood in the banks of nearby Neuse River. Explained by one architectural historian as “most unusual room within the South, ” the parlor's center point is immense fireplace with original designs hand-carved by enslaved artisans. They were showcased in Winterthur mag as types of early nineteenth century Southern vernacular interior architecture. This large historical parlor is great for taking pleasure in wine, "bourbon and branch" or any other beverage; just for researching and soothing or even for little occasions like receptions, discussion/study groups, or baths. Every imaginable party is held within parlor for happening two hundreds of years!
